Lauren Paige Conrad is a self-taught illustrator living with her family in Asheville, NC. She received a BS in textiles and fashion merchandising from the University of Georgia in 2008 before going on to study fashion design at FIDM San Francisco. After working in product development and small-scale textile production, Lauren turned to illustration in 2016. Her cut paper illustrations have been featured in Bravery, HappiKids, and Frankie Magazine. Lauren’s debut picture book YOUR ONE AND ONLY HEART (Dial) was written by Newbery-Honor recipient Rajani LaRocca, M.D. Her author-illustrator debut, THIS IS A WINDOW (Minerva) is out in Spring 2024. With a follow up book THIS IS OUR CITY set for Spring 2025.
Lauren’s mixed media collage is comprised of gouache, colored pencil, crayon, and cut paper.
